Jimmy Buffett Tickets - Parrothead-In-Chief Releases Encores Album
Jimmy Buffett's widespread appeal comes partly from his Caribbean-themed music, but also partly from his over-the-top concert antics and crazed followers called "Parrotheads." Buffett's flock of Parrotheads are notorious for having hours-long tailgates before concerts while wearing hula skirts and coconut bras for the Caribbean-flavored soirees, and there's never a dull moment with the anything-goes followers of this creative singer-songwriter. Buffett's music and aura doesn't just hit one generation of listeners, and his tours remain on many Top 10 lists year after year, despite some lulls in production when it comes to albums.
Jimmy Buffett has single-handedly crafted an empire from his clever songs concerning the tropics and alcohol-fueled frenzies, and crooning them in concert has fed the fire for a new Buffett album, set to arrive next month. Buffett is renowned for his encores at concerts, and anyone and everyone with <a href="http://www.stubhub.com/jimmy-buffett-tickets/"Jimmy Buffett tickets</a> to live performances stays until the very last note has been sang. As of April 20, however, they won't need to.
Buffett has announced the release of a new live album dubbed Encores, and the aptly-titled release of live acoustic numbers from concerts during 2008 and 2009 will be available on April 20. Encores, set for exclusive release at Wal-Mart stores across the country, features Jimmy Buffett's most popular encore performances, ranging from concert staples like "Come Monday" and "He Went to Paris" to other timeless classics such as "A Pirate Looks at Forty," "Last Mango in Paris" and "Coast of Carolina." The album will be released via Buffett's own Mailboat Records, and it will be a fresh follow-up to Buffet Hotel, his recently released album of new material.
Jimmy Buffett's upcoming live Encores album will set the scene for his string of 2010 tours, but it won't be the first live album this guitar-heavy musician has released. In fact, Buffett's live albums are half of his appeal, and he's been releasing them since the 1970s, when he first tried his hand with You Had to Be There in 1978.
Buffett has been an absolute crowd-pleaser on the touring circuit for decades, first bursting through the double doors of the music industry in 1973, when he released an album titled White Sport Coat and a Pink Crustacean that featured a soon-to-be classic called "Why Don't We Get Drunk." Buffett's rowdy songs and flair for sun-splashed fun immediately launched him into the spotlight, and in 1977 his album Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes proved to the world that this concert favorite was here to stay, as the album's lead single "Margaritaville" quickly became a worldwide hit.
Ever since then, Jimmy Buffett has retained his place atop the music industry as a summertime sensation, offering colorful images of sandy beaches, frozen concoctions and carefree life through his easygoing tunes. Buffett is currently reeling off the success of his 2009 release Buffet Hotel, and recently released hits like "Summerzcool," "Surfing in a Hurricane" and "A Lot to Drink About" have helped keep this Caribbean singer/songwriter's name in the spotlight as another year on the touring circuit passes. Buffett's 2010 Under the Big Top Tour promises to be the best yet, and concert tickets to Buffett shows are available from <a href="http://www.stubhub.com/">StubHub</a>, even though many of them sell out in just minutes.
