Brass Cluster Mailboxes
Are you ready for modern and attractive Brass Mailboxes in multiple configurations? Our brass cluster mailbox units are engineered to thwart theft and designed to please the eye. Our customers include apartments, condominiums, office buildings, private postal centers, corporate mail centers, military bases, colleges, universities and schools, government agencies, corporate mailrooms, military bases, police stations and business facilities throughout the world. Brass mailbox cluster units are sometimes perfectly suitable for home or multiple dwelling uses. A community mail center can be attractive as well as functional fwith the brass mailbox configurations for large residential applications.
We offer a great selection and large inventory of commercial brass cluster mailboxes. They are USPS approved and are of quality construction. You can customize your mailboxes with custom engraving to indentify each mailbox with characters and numerals. In addition, we can offer you very quick shipments.
Many of the applications for our commercial brass cluster mailboxes are for commercial mail centers. They are configured or designed to be front loading or rear loading and come in several compartments. Let's take a look at the design of these two types.
These cluster brass mailbox units have solid brass die-cast doors which include a five pin cylinder cam lock with two keys, a clear 1/4" thick glass window and a nameplate to identify the tenant's name and/or box number. The doors are hinged on brass frames and are attached to the individual compartments with four screws. The mailbox compartments are constructed of 20 gauge steel and powder coated tan. They are designed to stack two high and mount adjacent to each other or between wall studs. Mailbox units have the same outside dimensions. As an added benefit, Rear loading units have applications in Free-Standing Rotary Mail Centers and Free-Standing Roll-A-Bout Mail Centers.
The Rear Loading units can have open backs and hinged locking rear covers are available as an option upon request.
The Front Loading units include solid rear covers with two master commercial locks with two keys to open a door panel that swings on a continuous hinge. All of the openings are usable.
There are a various types of Multiple "Tenant" Mailboxes and Group Mailboxes. There are Cluster Box Units, Spreader Plates and Long Beam Groups (aka Gang Mailboxes).
Cluster box units are in use at shopping centers, apartment complexes and in newer neighborhoods. They are of brass construction with 8, 14, 16 and 30 incoming mailboxes, an outgoing mail compartment, and one or two parcel lockers. Cluster Box Units are strictly controlled by the US Postal Service and they can not be modified in any way. They must be pre-approved by the local Post Office and can only be used in commercial installations.
Powder Coating is painting process that is done by applying an electrical current to the object (the mailbox) and an opposite electrical charge to the paint. This method results in a paint surface that is extraordinarily durable and extremely adherent to the metal. Powder Coated mailboxes are corrosion resistant and can last as long as 100 years.
USPS Approved Brass Mailboxes are usually coated with a clear lacquer to preserve the finish. However, the lacquer will not last indefinitely. After ten or more years the sun and rain will cause the brass to darken. The brass can be polished back to its original luster with a quality brass polish and then it can be re-coated with lacquer.
