Wiring a radio in a 1974 Ford Ranger?
I have an '74 Ford Ranger and I was trying to replace the old stereo with a slightly less old Kraco stereo. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to rewire it? I know this is kind of vague sounding but I would appreciate ANY help I could get!
Well I kinda figured it out by myself. The red goes to the wire with the fuse in it. The other three went to the single speaker wire.....

First of all are they both the same polarity.
Do you have a proper fused live feed at the moment
If So
Red to Red to a switched Live Feed
Black to Black
Does the new one have a extra Live feed (Yellow), If so this goes to Permanent Live Feed and stores the Radio Code and Stations
You should now be left with a plug in aerial And 4 wires 2 go to each speaker Maybe Solid Colour and Solid Colour and White Stripe.
If you have an odd number then 1 to each speaker and the other one from each speaker join onto last wire.
If you have Left/Right and Forward/Rear Fade then you can have up to 8 wires, 2 for each of 4 speakers.
