Why are white guys taller than other races?
Hello,
I have been travelling a lil bit recently in Holland and Belgium and it is something I have noticed in other European countries like Germany and Denmark.
I think most people know Dutch guys are the tallest on average at 6'1, but sometimes the striking difference compared with Africans, Asians and Persians can be quite significant.
So I was wondering do you think genes is the biggest factor or does the diet and general health (environment) of guys especially in northern European countries contribute more.
Also I do recall being on a tube to 'centraal station' in Amsterdam stood up with a Dutch guy next to me standing tall at 6'6 and it was not the first time, which looks freakish compared to me at 5'5.
Also on a final point for the girls out there is height a big factor when you date a guy or just a small part of the overall package?

I think it's genes. I'm part Japanese and part German and I'm 5' 9" so I got my height from my father's side. My mom is really short though.
My 1/2 brother is 6'1 and he was mixed as well. And I had a friend who is Vietnamese but he stood at 6'4". In fact, his brothers and sisters were all over 6' tall.
I've only had one boyfriend who was shorter than me so it's not a problem for me, but I'm a gay man and I'm not that tall compared to most guys. I guess I'm average height.
